Meet Your Host
Hi! I’m Alja, and I created GurlSeeksTribe because I know what it’s like to feel “othered.”
From being the kid who preferred Vivaldi to the current Top 40, then the adult building a career in spaces where I rarely saw myself reflected – I’ve spent years navigating the space between belonging and being different.
After 156 episodes of navigating adult life on Adult-ish (80,000+ downloads), I realized something: we don’t just need content — we need community. We need a tribe.
That’s why I’m building this space for all of us who’ve ever felt like outsiders looking in.
